Samsung patents new projection displays

Samsung patented for new cellphone display technology. New concept will rely on projection instead of conventional LCD or OLED panels. The main advantage of projection displays is new refraction technology, that can distribute the light from these tiny optical projectors evenly across a mobile phone’s display. Also projection displays can be scaled to any desired size while classic LCD or OLED displays needs to be manufactured in a predetermined size. Usage of projection displays can open the possibility of holographic displays in the future.

Fly Mobile MC100 with Nintendo games support

Fly Mobile announced new handset MC100 with support for Gameboy Nintendo consoles games! With this phone you can play almost all Nintendo classics in 2 dimensions. In desire to give the users full pleasure while playing games, Fly Mobile placed two special game buttons at the top of the device. From other phone specs we have to mention Yamaha sound chipset, e-book reader, email client, 2MP camera and microSD slot for extra memory space. Available in the states right now for $270.

LG’s KH1800 Orange phone

For Korean market LG Electronics released new LG-KH1800 also known as Orange color phone. This 13.3mm thick 3G phone features music and video playback, electronic dictionary, text reader, alarm etc. No words about prices but who actually care for that?

DaXian X999 iPhone clone

Check out the specs - 3.2 inch single-touch QVGA screen, dual 2MP cameras, motion and proximity sensors running on TI OMAP850 200MHZ processor with 128MB built-in RAM, music and video playback, and USB, Bluetooth connectivity. Sony Ericsson revealed new W350i mobile phone with old fashioned design. With keypad covered with flap this model resembles on old Ericsson models we have used in 90s. When the flip is closed user can user fancy Walkman controls to manage your music tracks. Among other features we mention weak 1.3 MP camera, Bluetooth, messaging and email, FM radio, a 262,144-color display, a speakerphone, and personal organizer applications. W350i is available in four color styles - Electric Black, Ice Blue, Hypnotic Black, and Graphic White.

Sprint mobile showcased new Samsung M520 slider in its offer. Samsung M520 is GPS capable multimedia phone with Sprint TV support and more than 50 channels of on demand video and music channels. M520 slider features weak 1.3MP camera with 2x digital zoom and video option, microSD card slot for up to 4GB storage and special TeleNav software with audio and visual turn-by-turn driving directions for more than 10 million local maps.

Few days ago Nokia announced new N78 handset. Nokia N78 is phone designed for photography and music enjoyment. Also, N78 features A-GPS with free Nokia maps for geo-tagging of your photos. N78 sports 3.2 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, microSD card slot for up to 8GB additional storage space, FM radio, WLAN and HSDPA support. Nokia N78 is expected to be released somewhere this spring, before N96 and price will be about $500 bucks.

Also there is special face detection function, and smile shutter mode. As for the phone specs SO905iCS sports 2.7 inch LCD display with 480 x 864 WVGA resolution and microSD card slot for more storage space.

Palm Centro now on AT&T

Lovers of the small adorable Palm Centro would like to hear that this device is now officially available on AT&T. Comparing it with Sprint’s version, GSM Centro feature EDGE data transfer and usual 1.3 MP camera, microSD slot, Bluetooth 1.2, support for AT&T’s push-to-talk service and miniature QWERTY keyboard. All that for $99 AT&T contract.
