Samsung SPH-W4950

Samsung has announced new slider phone SPH-W4950 with support for CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A. In design it resembles to the D500 and features 1.3MP camera, with front VGA camera for video calling. There is also 40MB of storage space along with microSD/TransFlash memory slot and support for most popular audio and video files. Battery will give you about 4.5 hours of talktime or 165 hours of standby. Still no words on pricing and availability.

NEC N906i with smile detection

NEC has released new clamshell N906i for Japanese NTTDoCoMo. This phone features 5.2MP camera with smile detection. Also it packs 3 inch VGA screen, HSDPA, GPS, Yamaha audio chip, microSD slot and support for most popular media formats. Phone measures 109mm × 49mm × 19.6mm and weighs 133 grams. You can get is only if you are NTTDoCoMo user and live in Japan.

Vodafone UK add LG Secret

Vodafone UK has added LG KF750 Secret in the offer. From now UK Vodafone users will be able to get this fancy LG 5MP slider with 2.4 inch scratch-resistant display, carbon fiber shell, HSDPA and much more. The phone can be ordered right now and will cost you about $491 depending on the plan you choose.

Android Q&A session reveals more specs

Google developer team has unveiled more specs of upcoming Android running on HTC phone. So far the tested HTC featured 3.6Mbps HSDPA, Qualcomm MSM7201A processor at 528MHz, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, and a capacitive touchscreen. Android is designed to work with a wide range of input devices, everything from touchscreens to QWERTY keypads to devices with no screen at all. New features include a configurable home screen launcher, accelerometer integration in Google Maps’ Street View, Pacman, and a new unlock UI for touchscreen-based devices. Some of those new things were freshly coded. For example the guys noted that clock was released yesterday and everything is done to finish the development and release the Android somewhere in second half of the year.

Gresso White Diamonds Collection

Lovers of the expensive luxurious phones would like the new collection from Russian manufacturer Gresso. The White Diamonds collection includes two models named Gresso White Diamonds and Gresso Royal White Diamonds. The new White Diamonds Collection run on Windows Mobile 6 Standard, features inherit hand-assembled body panels made out of 200-year old African blackwood, keyboards with base plate made of titanium and stainless steel battery cover with a magnetic lock plus leather and gold decoration. There is also tri-band GSM support, microSD slot and 2MP camera. The Gresso Royal White Diamonds is the more expensive one of the two and will be available in limited edition of 200 units only. All of its 23 gold keys are crowned with a total of 2.53K of white diamonds. Curious about rices? The Gresso White Diamond is priced about $14,000 dollars while Gresso Royal White Diamonds sells for about $52,000.

Samsung announces Spirit Of Ultra

Samsung has a new cell phone named Soulb, “Spirit of Ultra”. This monoblock phone sets a brand new standard for bar handset category. Featuring 2 inch QVGA screen, 3MP camera and completely new user interface, 1GB of storage space with microSD card slot. Soulb is tri-band GSM, HSDPA compatible device and also plays MPR/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+/WMA/RA audio files, as well as, record and edit your videos in 15fps. Available right now for still unknown price but you can choose from five different colors - Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink and Amethyst Violet.

Verizon has added Motorola W755 clamshel phone is the stores. The mid-range W755 has almost the same specs as RAZR V3m adding Bluetooth, external touch controls for music navigation, 1.3 MP camera, external display, microSD card slot and built-in GPS. You can choose from purple and black colors and it is yours for just $69.99 with 2 year contract.

Walt Disney partnered with Sharp to create Cinderella phone

Walt Disney has partnered with Sharp and announced new DM002SH for June release. This flip phone is called Cinderella phone and features 2.6 inch WQVGA display, 0.5 external OLED display, 50MB of internal memory, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD slot and 1Seg TV tuner. Obviously last fact indicated it will be Japan only phone. Available in three colors - Clear Crystal, Brown Topaz, and Pink Diamond.

Motorola VU20 FCC approved

Motorola’s flip phone VU20 has just passed FCC’s approval. As first reports says this mid-range phone features front camera that obviously indicate 3G support and there is also GSM 1900 band for the US commercial phone standard. We can expect VU20 to be part of the offer some of most the popular carriers, probably Verizon.
