HTC GM executive Kevin Chen has stated that the company is already working on implementing new phones based on Windows Mobile 7 operating system. We can expect first models to launch somewhere till the end f the year and for certain we will see whole bunch of them on Mobile World Congress next year.
HTC has unveiled new member of Diamond family - the Touch Pro. This model continues the Diamond line design with special Pro features such as full digits keyboard that slides out of one of its sides, and 7.2Mbps HSPA, 900 / 2100MHz 3G and quadband GSM and EDGE. Also there is 2.8 inch VGA display, 3.2 MP camera, 288MB of RAM and 500MB of ROM. Running Windows Mobile 6.1 with HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface. Expected to come to European stores somewhere by the end of summer and even later for US market.
Sprint, Alltel and Verizon extends it offer with HTC Touch in black, gray, white and in new burgundy color. HTC Touch share the same specs like TouchFLO - Windows Mobile 6, 2MP camera, EV-DO, microSD slot, Bluetooth with A2DP, and a custom HTC SureType keyboard. The price is $130 dollars with two year contract.

NewsMobile has completely revealed HTC’s Touch Diamond specifications and photos. HTC Diamond sport 2.8 inch VGA display, Windows Mobile 6.1, quad band GSM with 7.2mbps HSDPA, WiFi, FM radio, 528MHz CPU, 4GB of internal storage with MicroSD slot. As you can see there is QWERTY keyboard and on the back 3.2 MP camera. Only unknown fact is release date. HTC scheduled a press event for May 6th and is widely expected to launch the Diamond as well as the Touch Pro and Touch Find at the event, with American releases by late fall.
HTC has decided to make Windows Mobile powered smartphones with dual-SIM card slots allowing the users to make phone calls on two networks at the same time. Both phones W1000 and G1000 have 200MHz Qualcomm CPU, 256MB ROM and 64MB RAM, microSD slot and USB, crowned by a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen. There are also 2MP camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth A2DP for wireless headphones. W1000 is equipped with one GSM and one CDMA SIM slot, and G1000 that comes with to GSM slots. No words about prices and availability.
During the CTIA Wireless 2008 HTC has announced that it will ship HTC Touch Dual phone in the United States this quarter. HTC Touch Dual features intuitive touch screen with integrated TouchFLO technology and slide-out keypad and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS making it first phone released in US that runs Windows Mobile 6.1. Phone will give the users intuitive interface for quick and easy navigation to emails, text messages, calendar appointments and contacts, and you will also find Microsoft Office Mobile for documents and Outlook email, Live HTC Home service, 2MP camera, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA support. It will be available at Best Buy’s mobile retail and HTC.com webstore.
HTC has been developing handset for Android software from Google and decided to name that model - Dream. The handset will be 3 inches wide and 5 inches long with full QWERTY keyboard and large touchscreen. It is expected to hit the market somewhere at the end of 2008 and we are anticipated to see it!
HTC is developing new slider technology that will make the phone more useful and elegant. Similar as we have seen in Helio Ocean this new concept has unique keyboard plate and slider that allow users to shift the LCD display in different positions. It would be interesting to see new phones designed with this technology but we still don’t have any information when we can expect first models.
