The HTC HD 2 was one of the surprise hits of last year, a huge device sporting a massive 4.3 inch display, with a host of features that made it one of the best Windows Mobile smartphones of 2009. The HTC Hero was a defining handset for the Taiwanese manufacturer; it demonstrated a real commitment to the Android platform, and that HTC were capable of delivering handsets that had strong market appeal on a platform that was in essence, still in its infancy.
