Motorola unveils Napoleon for Verizon users

Motorola has unveiled new phone codenamed Napoleon that will be launched as part of Verizon offer. This Q9 phone features full GSM roaming capabilities, fingerprint scanner, Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, EV-DO Rev. A, quad-band EDGE, 2 megapixel camera with flash, stereo speakers, 320×240 resolution screen, Wi-Fi, and a 1500mAh battery. The info is still so fresh that we don’t know when Napoleon will be actually released.

Philips will soon launch new X800 so we have a chance to read reviews from all the places. As first impressions say this will be attractive phone with quality features such as large 2.9 inch WQVGA touchscreen display, GPRS radio, EDGE, 2MP camera, microSD card slot, office documents reader, Bluetooth, and elegant dark design. The 1250 mAh battery will be good for up to 850 hours of standby time and up to 8 hours of talk-time. Still there are no info about release date.

Polaroid PoGo Mobile Printer

Polaroid has reinvented the old fashioned photography with new PoGo Mobile Printer. This device links to a picture-taking device via PictBridge or Bluetooth and comes up with a 2 x 3-inch printed hard copy of a shot image in about a minute or two. With the fully charged battery the PoGo can print up to 15 photos. The PoGo uses Zero Ink (ZINK) technology where the paper used has clear dye crystals embedded on it which, when activated by heat, create the images on the paper. The prints come out waterproof, and tear- and fade-resistant because of a polymer coating on the paper’s exterior. These exclusive papers come in 30-sheet packs that you can get for $10. The PoGo Mobile Printer is available right now and it is yours for just $150 bucks.

Openmoko to launch Neo FreeRunner

Openmoko has recently announced that Neo FreeRunner will be available online from July 4. Neo FreeRunner is GNU/Linux mobile device featuring 850MHz and the 950MHz Tri-band GSM, 802.11b/g Wi-fi, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, dual 3-way motion sensors, 2.8 inch VGA touch screen, AGPS, GPRS 2.5G, 128MB WSDRAM and 256MB NAND Flash memory. Openmoko also has announced that the shipping to the distributors will start from July 7 and Neo FreeRunner will cost about $399 dollars.

Google Inc has released new version of Google Talk instant messenger optimized for iPhone and iPod Touch. The GTalk is web application meaning you don’t need to install it, just point you iPhone browser to the specific address www.google.com/talk and start chatting. The application is optimized for iPhone Safari browser and if you try to open it from other software you will get error messages.

AT&T to launch Samsung Omnia

AT&T has announced that specially branded Samsung Omnia will hit the local stores in Q3 of 2008. The Omnia will pack usual AT&T features such as AT&T Music, AT&T Video, AT&T Navigator and also AT&T Mobile TV. Rest of the features are known - 5MP camera with face detection, quad-band EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, 3.2 inch WQVGA touch screen. Bluetooth and 8GB or 16GB of internal memory.

Sony Ericsson Remi

Sony Ericsson has designed new phone that will revive old classic T610. The new Remi phone features 3.2 MP camera, A2 platform, HSDPA connectivity and most of the W890 Walkman phone features. Still there are no certain info when Remi will be launched but we expect this will be another hit from good old Sony Ericsson.

Motorola ZN200 to be launched in Brazil

Motorola has announced new phone from ZINE line, the ZN200 slider for Brazilian market. The phone features elegant design, 2MP camera, 30MB of internal storage with support for 1GB memory card, stereo Bluetooth, CrystalTalk technology for improved audio quality and 3G support. Expected to be available in September for 499 Reias or about $315 USD.
